Following the announcement of the action-adventure spinoff, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, RGG Studio’s Masayoshi Yokoyama commented on the scale of this project. Yokoyama stated that compared to Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii’s narrative is around 1.3 to 1.5 times larger.
